3. Remove hardware attaching cabinet (A) (Figure 3, Item 7) and cabinet (B) (Figure 3, Item 6) to shelter loor
and wall IAW (WP 0037 00, Cabinets( A) and (B) Hardware, REMOVAL).
4.
Remove four lag bolts (Figure 3, Item 4), four lock washers (Figure 3, Item 3), and four lat washers (Figure 3,
Item 2) detaching work surface (Figure 3, Item 11) from cabinet (A) (Figure 3, Item 7) and cabinet (B) (Figure
3, Item 6).
5.
Remove work surface (Figure 3, Item 11) from top of cabinet (A) (Figure 3, Item 7) and cabinet (B) (Figure 3,
Item 6).
6.
Remove four bolts (Figure 3, Item 12), four lock washers (Figure 3, Item 3), eight lat washers (Figure 3, Item
13), and four nuts (Figure 3, Item 15) detaching two cabinet brackets (Figure 3, Item 14) from cabinet (A)
(Figure 3, Item 7) and cabinet (B) (Figure 3, Item 6).
7.
Remove four bolts (Figure 3, Item 12), four lock washers (Figure 3, Item 3), eight lat washers (Figure 3, Item
2), and four nuts (Figure 3, Item 15) detaching cabinet (A) (Figure 3, Item 7) from cabinet (B) (Figure 3, Item
6).
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT
3 DRAWER CABINET (A) AND 6 DRAWER CABINET (B)
1.
If cabinet brackets (Figure 3, Item 14) can be repaired by welding, weld damaged area IAW TM
1-1500-204-23. Repair must not interfere with form, it, or function of cabinet brackets (Figure 3, Item 14).
2.
Paint repaired cabinet brackets (Figure 3, Item 14) IAW (WP 0058 00, Figure 1).
INSTALLATION
SHELF CABINET (A) AND 3 DRAWER CABINET (B)
1.
Install four bolts (Figure 3, Item 12), four lock washers (Figure 3, Item 3), eight lat washers (Figure 3, Item
2), and four nuts (Figure 3, Item 15) securing cabinet (A) (Figure 3, Item 7) and cabinet (B) (Figure 3, Item 6)
together.
2.
Install four bolts (Figure 3, Item 12), four lock washers (Figure 3, Item 3), eight lat washers (Figure 3, Item
13), and four nuts (Figure 3, Item 15) securing two cabinet brackets (Figure 3, Item 14) to cabinet (A) (Figure
3, Item 7) and cabinet (B) (Figure 3, Item 6).
3.
If a new work surface (Figure 3, Item 11) must be installed:
a.
Position work surface (Figure 3, Item 11), inished side up, on top of cabinet (A) (Figure 3, Item 7) and
cabinet (B) (Figure 3, Item 6).
b.
Ensure work surface (Figure 3, Item 11) is lush with back and sides of cabinet (A) (Figure 3, Item 7) and
cabinet (B) (Figure 3, Item 6).
c.
On inside of cabinet (A) (Figure 3, Item 7), mark two hole placements (Figure 3, Item 1) in top of cabinet
(A) (Figure 3, Item 7) on non-inished side of work surface (Figure 3, Item 11).
d.
On inside of cabinet (B) (Figure 3, Item 6), mark two hole placements (Figure 3, Item 5) in top of cabinet
(B) (Figure 3, Item 6) on non-inished side of work surface (Figure 3, Item 11).
e.
After four hole placement marks have been made, lip work surface (Figure 3, Item 11) over with non-
inished side up.
f.
On non-inished side of work surface (Figure 3, Item 11) at four marked hole placements, center punch
and drill four 5/16 inch holes to a depth of 3/4 inch.
g.
Return work surface (Figure 3, Item 11) inished side up, on top of cabinet (A) (Figure 3, Item 7) and
cabinet (B) (Figure 3, Item 6).
4.
Align bolt holes of work surface (Figure 3, Item 11) with bolt holes (Figure 3, Item 1 and 5) on top of cabinet
(A) (Figure 3, Item 7) and cabinet (B) (Figure 3, Item 6).
