SECTION I. REPAIR PARTS, SPECIAL TOOLS,
TMDE, AND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT
3-1. Common Tools and Equipment.
For authorized common tools and equipment refer to the Table/Modified
Table of Organization and Equipment (TOE/MTOE) applicable to the AVIM unit and to the Supply Catalog (SC)
applicable to the Sheet Metal Shop.
3-2. Torque Values.
All equipment or tools secured to the floor or wall of the shelter must be carefully tightened
to specific torque limits. These torque limits are contained in Appendix G of this manual.
3-3. Special Tools, TMDE, and Support Equipment. No special tools are required.
3-4. Repair Parts. Repair parts are listed and illustrated in Appendix D of this manual.
3-5. Repair Procedures.
Inspection, repair and replacement tasks for all fabricated brackets and components
encompass similar procedures due to the commonality of the materials and hardware utilized. The inspection, repair
and replacement tasks for the book rack are presented as a guide for maintenance procedures for the remainder of
the fabricated components as listed in Appendix F.
SECTION Il. SERVICE UPON RECEIPT
3-6. Checking Unpacked Equipment.
a. Inspect the equipment for damage incurred during shipment. If the equipment has been damaged, report
the damage on DD Form 6, Packaging Improvement Report.
b. Check the equipment against the packing slip to see if the shipment is complete. Report all discrepancies in
accordance with the instructions of DA PAM 738-751.
c. Check to see whether the equipment has been modified.
d. After equipment has been positioned to the recommended operational floor plan, check all items requiring
service. Preventive maintenance (PM) and preoperational services will be performed LAW applicable equipment
TMs.
