REMOVAL CONTINUED
FOUR DRAWER CABINET (D), SIX DRAWER CABINET (E), AND FOUR DRAWER CABINET (F) CONTINUED
4. Remove four lag bolts (Figure 6, Item 1), four lock washers (Figure 6, Item 2), and four lat washers (Figure 6,
Item 3) detaching work surface (Figure 6, Item 7) from cabinets (E) and (F) (Figure 6, Item 9, and 10).
5.
Remove four lag bolts (Figure 6, Item 1), four lock washers (Figure 6, Item 2), and four lat washers (Figure 6,
Item 3) detaching work surface (Figure 6, Item 5) from cabinet (D) (Figure 6, Item 4).
6.
Remove work surfaces (Figure 6, Item 5 and 7) from top of cabinets (D), (E), and (F) (Figure 6, Item 4, 9, and
10).
7.
Remove four bolts (Figure 6, Item 15), eight lat washers (Figure 6, Item 16), four lock washers (Figure 6,
Item 12), and four nuts (Figure 6, Item 18) detaching two cabinet brackets (Figure 6, Item 17) from cabinet
(D) (Figure 6, Item 4) and cabinet (F) (Figure 6, Item 9).
8.
Remove two bolts (Figure 6, Item 15), four lat washers (Figure 6, Item 3), two lock washers (Figure 6, Item 2),
and two nuts (Figure 6, Item 18) detaching cabinet (D) Figure 6, Item 4) from cabinet (E) (Figure 6, Item 10).
9.
Remove two bolts (Figure 6, Item 15), four lat washers (Figure 6, Item 3), two lock washers (Figure 6, Item 2),
and two nuts (Figure 6, Item 18) detaching cabinet (F) Figure 6, Item 9) from cabinet (E) (Figure 6, Item 10).
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT
FOUR DRAWER CABINET (D), SIX DRAWER CABINET (E), AND FOUR DRAWER CABINET (F)
1.
If cabinet brackets (Figure 6, Item 17) can be repaired by welding, weld damaged area IAW TM
1-1500-204-23. Repair must not interfere with form, it, or function of cabinet brackets (Figure 6, Item 17).
2.
Paint repaired cabinet brackets (Figure 6, Item 17) IAW WP 0068 00, Figure 5.
INSTALLATION
FOUR DRAWER CABINET (D), SIX DRAWER CABINET (E), AND FOUR DRAWER CABINET (F)
1.
If a new cabinet (D) (Figure 6, Item 4) work surface (Figure 6, Item 5) must be installed:
a.
Position work surface (Figure 6, Item 5), inished side up, on top of cabinet (D) (Figure 6, Item 4).
b.
Ensure work surface (Figure 6, Item 5) is lush with back, left, and right sides of cabinet (D) (Figure 6,
Item 4) with a 2 inch overhang on front side of cabinet..
c.
On inside of cabinet (D) (Figure 6, Item 4), mark four hole placements in top of cabinet (Figure 6, Item 4)
on non-inished side of work surface (Figure 6, Item 5).
d.
After four hole placement marks have been made, lip work surface (Figure 6, Item 5) over with non-
inished side up.
e.
On non-inished side of work surface (Figure 6, Item 5) at four marked hole placements, center punch
and drill four 5/16 inch holes to a depth of 3/4 inch.
f.
Return work surface (Figure 6, Item 5) inished side up, on top of cabinet (D) (Figure 6, Item 4).
g.
Align bolt holes in work surface (Figure 6, Item 5) with bolt holes on top of cabinet (D) (Figure 6, Item 4).
h.
Install four lag bolts (Figure 6, Item 1), four lock washers (Figure 6, Item 2), four lat washers (Figure 6,
Item 3), securing work surface (Figure 6, Item 5) to cabinet (D) (Figure 6, Item 4).
2.
If a new cabinet (E) (Figure 6, Item 10) and cabinet (F) (Figure 6, Item 9) work surface (Figure 6, Item 7) must
be installed:
a.
Position work surface (Figure 6, Item 7), inished side up, on top of cabinet (E) (Figure 6, Item 10) and
cabinet (F) (Figure 6, Item 9).
b.
Ensure work surface (Figure 6, Item 7) is lush with back, left, and right sides of cabinets with 2 inch
hangover on the front side of cabinet (E) (Figure 6, Item 10).
c.
On inside of cabinet (E) (Figure 6, Item 10), mark two hole placements in top of cabinet on non-inished
side of work surface (Figure 6, Item 7).
