POSITIONING ECU (A) FOR OPERATIONAL MODE
WARNING
A four man lift is required when moving or lifting ECUs. Each unit weighs approximately 270
pounds. Trying to move or lift an ECU without suficient help can cause SERIOUS INJURY to
personnel.
NOTE
There are several ECU conigurations compatible for this shop set. Refer to your shop s
Applicable ECU Owner s Manual for operating and maintenance instruction.
If ECU NSN 4120-01-523-4472 is being used, it may be necessary to change existing
electrical plug connector on end of ECU cables to electrical plug connector (NSN 5935-
01-413-4953) to ensure ECU power cable is compatible with ECU.

Unsecure ECU (A).
1.
Remove two cargo straps (Figure 1, Item 3) from ECU (A) (Figure 1, Item 2) ring bolts (Figure 1, Item 4) and
store in secure storage location.
2.
Use lift handles (Figure 1, Item 1) to raise ECU (A) (Figure 1, Item 2) and carry through personnel door to
fold-down panel.
