EXTERNAL GROUNDING OF SHELTER - CONTINUED
NOTE
Ground rod location should permit ground cable lug to reach ground stud on power entry panel.

Drive ground rod (Figure 1, Item 6) into ground using slide hammer (WP 0072 00, Figure 2, Item 4).
4.
Remove nut (Figure 1, Item 2), lock washer (Figure 1, Item 3), and lat washer (Figure 1, Item 4) from ground
stud (Figure 1, Item 7) on power entry panel (Figure 1, Item 1).
5.
Connect ground cable lug (Figure 1, Item 5) to ground stud (Figure 1, Item 7).
6.
Secure with lat washer (Figure 1, Item 4), lock washer (Figure 1, Item 3), and nut (Figure 1, Item 2).
7.
Ensure all connections are secure.
CONNECTING POWER DISTRIBUTION BOX (PDB) TO GENERATOR (IF NECESSARY)
WARNING
HIGH VOLTAGE exists in electrical system of shop. All electrical inspections, repairs, or
replacements will be performed with power OFF and only by a qualiied electrician. Serious
shock hazards exist which could result in INJURY OR EVEN DEATH to personnel.
CAUTION
Connecting PDB to generator is required only if power is not available. Only a qualiied electri-
cian should attempt to connect PDB to generator.
NOTE
PDB and pigtail are supplied by unit. Refer to TM 9-6150-226-13 and/or TM 9- 6150-226-23P
for additional information. The following igure and steps are speciic to a 60 amp shelter.

1.
Ensure all circuit breakers on PDB are in the OFF position.
2.
Ensure pigtail is connected to PDB.
