POSITIONING BOOKCASE FOR TRANSPORT MODE - CONTINUED
1.
Remove six setscrews from bookcase (Figure 1, Item 1) transport location loor inserts and store in shelter
Basic Issue Items (BII) box (WP 0002 00, Figure 2, Item 5 or Figure 3, Item 6).

On top side of bookcase (Figure 1, Item 1) remove six bolts (Figure 1, Item 12), twelve lat washers (Figure
1, Item 11), six lock washers (Figure 1, Item 10), and six nuts (Figure 1, Item 9), detaching three brackets
(Figure 1, Item 3) from top of bookcase (Figure 1, Item 1). Set brackets and hardware aside.
3.
Position bookcase (Figure 1, Item 1) in transport location by aligning bracket holes with loor inserts.

On back side of bookcase (Figure 1, Item 1), install four bolts (Figure 1, Item 4), four lock washers (Figure
1, Item 5) and four lat washers (Figure 1, Item 6) on two bookcase brackets (Figure 1, Item 8) and attach to
shelter loor.

On sides of bookcase (Figure 1, Item 1), install two bolts (Figure 1, Item 4), two lock washers (Figure 1, Item
5) and two lat washers (Figure 1, Item 6) on two bookcase brackets (Figure 1, Item 7) and attach to shelter
loor.
CAUTION
attaching top brackets to shelter hat, only tighten these bolts securely.
Torque bolts (Figure 1, Item 2) 160-190 in. lbs.

Install six bolts (Figure 1, Item 12), twelve lat washers (Figure 1, Item 11), six lock washers (Figure 1, Item
10), and six nuts (Figure 1, Item 9), attaching three brackets (Figure 1, Item 3) to top of bookcase (Figure 1,
Item 1).
8.
Install three bolts (Figure 1, Item 2), three lock washers (Figure 1, Item 3), and three lat washers (Figure 1,
Item 6) attaching brackets (Figure 1, Item 4) to hat (Figure 1, Item 8).
