Ensure work surface (Figure 4, Item 5) is lush with back side of cabinet (B) (Figure 4, Item 6) with a two
inch overhang on the front side of cabinet (B) (Figure 4, Item 6). Work surface (Figure 4, Item 5) should
overhang 15 inches on left and right sides of cabinet (B) (Figure 4, Item 6).
c.
On inside of cabinet (B) (Figure 4, Item 6) , mark eight hole placements in top of cabinet on non-inished
side of work surface (Figure 4, Item 5).
d.
After eight hole placement marks have been made, lip work surface (Figure 4, Item 5) over with non-
inished side up.
e.
On non-inished side of work surface (Figure 4, Item 5) at eight marked hole placements, center punch
and drill four 5/16 inch holes to a depth of 3/4 inch.
f.
Return work surface (Figure 4, Item 5) inished side up, on top of cabinet (B) (Figure 4, Item 6).
g.
Align bolt holes of work surface (Figure 4, Item 5) with bolt holes on top of cabinet (B) (Figure 4, Item 6).
h.
Install eight lag bolts (Figure 4, Item 1), eight lock washers (Figure 4, Item 2), six large lat washers
(Figure 4, Item 3) and two small lat washers (Figure 4, Item 4) securing work surface (Figure 4, Item 5)
to cabinet (C) (Figure 4, Item 6).
3.
If a new cabinet (B) (Figure 4, Item 6) has been installed:
a.
Use holes (Figure 4, Item 14 through 16) of existing work surface (Figure 4, Item 5) to determine drill bit
sizes.
b.
Match drill holes of work surface (Figure 4, Item 5) through cabinet (B) (Figure 4, Item 6).
4.
If a new work surface (Figure 4, Item 5) has been installed and/or a new work surface (Figure 4, Item 5) and
cabinet (B) (Figure 4, Item 6) has been installed:
a.
Position back left bolt hole of machinist s vice 24.25 inches from left side of work surface (Figure 4, Item
5) and 21.25 inches from front of work surface (Figure 4, Item 5). Mark placement holes (Figure 3, Item
14 through 16). Set aside machinist s vice.
b.
Center punch and drill three 1/2 inch holes through work surface (Figure 4, Item 5) and cabinet (B)
(Figure 4, Item 6).
5.
Install hardware attaching cabinet (B) (Figure 4, Item 6) to shelter wall and loor IAW WP 0043 00, Cabinets
(B) and (C) Hardware, REMOVAL.
6.
Install drawers, slides, and shelves as necessary (Drawers, Slides, And Shelves, INSTALLATION).
7.
Install kick plate (Kick Plate, INSTALLATION).
