Shearing Machine Support Bar and Back Support Brackets and Hardware.
1.
Inspect backgauge bar and support brackets (Figure 2) for damage. Replace as necessary.
2.
Inspect all backguage bar and support bracket hardware (Figure 2, Item 5, 6, 7, 11, and 12) for rust, cracks
and rounded heads. Replace as necessary.
REMOVAL
SHEARING MACHINE SUPPORT BAR AND BACK SUPPORT BRACKET
CAUTION
If back stop is mounted to support bracket, it must be removed before proceeding.
1.
Remove two bolts (Figure 2, Item 12), two upper lat washers (Figure 2, Item 11), two lower lat washers
(Figure 2, Item 7), two lock washers (Figure 2, Item 6), and two nuts (Figure 2, Item 5) detaching backguage
bar (Figure 2, Item 9) from shearing machine (Figure 2, Item 1).
2.
Remove two bolts (Figure 2, Item 12), two upper lat washers (Figure 2, Item 11), two lower lat washers
(Figure 2, Item 7), two lock washers (Figure 2, Item 6), and two nuts (Figure 2, Item 5) detaching support bar
brackets (Figure 2, Item 8 and 14) from shearing machine (Figure 2, Item 1).
