Replace 60 amp receptacle (Figure 1, Item 2) if a problem is detected.

Move main circuit breaker to ON position.
REMOVAL
WARNING
HIGH VOLTAGE exists in electrical system of shop. All electrical inspections, repairs, or
replacements will be performed with power OFF and only by a qualiied electrician. Serious
shock hazards exist which could result in INJURY OR EVEN DEATH to personnel.
1.
Ensure main circuit breaker to OFF position.
2.
Remove four machine screws (Figure 1, Item 1) attaching 60 amp receptacle (Figure 1, Item 2) to 45 degree
angle adapter (Figure 1, Item 3).
3.
Pull 60 amp receptacle (Figure 1, Item 2) out of 45 degree angle adapter (Figure 1, Item 3) until wire lug
terminals (Figure 1, Item 4) are exposed.
4.
Loosen wire lug terminals (Figure 1, Item 4) and remove wires.
INSTALLATION
1.
Ensure main circuit breaker to OFF position.
NOTE
Receptacle lugs are identiied by letters "X", "Y", and "Z" with ground connection being identiied
by color green. Black wire will be attached to "X", red wire will be attached to "Y", and blue wire
will be attached to "Z".
2.
Install new 60 amp receptacle (Figure 1, Item 2) by reattaching wires to wire lug terminals (Figure 1, Item 4).
3.
Push 60 amp receptacle (Figure 1, Item 2) back into 45 degree angle adapter (Figure 1, Item 3).
4.
Install four machine screws (Figure 1, Item 1) reattaching 60 amp receptacle (Figure 1, Item 2) to 45 degree
angle adapter (Figure 1, Item 3).
5.
Move main circuit breaker to ON position.
