Remove bookcase (Figure 1, Item 1) by removing three bolts (Figure 1, Item 2), three lock washers (Figure
1, Item 3) and three lat washers (Figure 1, Item 4) from bookcase brackets (Figure 1, Item 5).
3.
Remove three bolts (Figure 1, Item 6), six lat washers (Figure 1, Item 7), three lock washers (Figure 1, Item
8), and three nuts (Figure 1, Item 9), detaching three bookcase brackets (Figure 1, Item 5).
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT
FOUR SHELF BOOKCASE
1.
If bookcase brackets (Figure 1, Item 5) can be repaired by welding, weld damaged area IAW TM
1-1500-204-23. Repair must not interfere with form, it, or function of bookcase brackets (Figure 1, Item 5).
2.
Paint repaired bookcase brackets (Figure 1, Item 5) IAW WP 0059 00, 5.
INSTALLATION
FOUR SHELF BOOKCASE
1.
Install three bolts (Figure 1, Item 6), six lat washers (Figure 1, Item 7), three lock washers (Figure 1, Item 8),
and three nuts (Figure 1, Item 9), attaching three bookcase brackets (Figure 1, Item 5) to bookcase (Figure
1, Item 1).
2.
Attach bookcase (Figure 1, Item 1) to shelter loor by installing three bolts (Figure 1, Item 2), three lock
washers (Figure 1, Item 3), and three lat washers (Figure 1, Item 4) to bookcase brackets (Figure 1, Item 5).
3.
Install six bolts (Figure 1, Item 2), six lock washers (Figure 1, Item 3), and six lat washers (Figure 1, Item 4)
to inside bookcase (Figure 1, Item 1), mounting bookcase (Figure 1, Item 1) to wall.
Torque bolts (Figure 1, Item 2) installed into shelter, 160-190 in. lbs.
