INSPECTION OF INSTALLED ITEMS CONTINUED
FIFTEEN SHELF BOOKCASE CONTINUED
1.
Inspect ifteen shelf bookcase (Figure 2) for damage. Replace as necessary.
2.
Inspect all ifteen shelf bookcase hardware (Figure 2, Item 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 11) for rust, cracks and
rounded heads. Replace as necessary.
REMOVAL
FIFTEEN SHELF BOOKCASE
1.
Remove bookcase (Figure 2, Item 1) by removing nine bolts (Figure 2, Item 4), nine lock washers (Figure 2,
Item 3) and six lat washers (Figure 2, Item 9) from bookcase brackets (Figure 2, Item 2, 10, and 11).
2.
Remove twelve bolts (Figure 2, Item 5), twelve lock washers (Figure 2, Item 8), twenty-four washers (Figure
2, Item 6) and twelve nuts (Figure 2, Item 8), detaching seven bookcase brackets (Figure 2, Item 2, 10, and
11).
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT
FIFTEEN SHELF BOOKCASE
1.
If bookcase brackets (Figure 2, Item 2, 10, and 11) can be repaired by welding, weld damaged are IAW TM
1-1500-204-23. Repair must not interfere with form, it, or function of bookcase brackets (Figure 2, Item 2,
10, and 11).
2.
Paint repaired bookcase brackets (Figure 2, Item 2, 10, and 11) IAW WP 0059 00, 1, 2, and 5.
