Section IV. ORGANIZATIONAL PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND SERVICES
3-12. GENERAL
Always keep in mind the WARNINGS and CAUTIONS when performing PMCS. Table 3-2 lists the PMCS
procedures to be performed by organizational maintenance level. Be sure to perform the PMCS at the
frequency indicated by the INTERVAL codes in the table.
NOTE
If the equipment must be kept in continuous operation, check and
service only those items that can be checked and serviced without dis-
turbing operation. Make the complete checks and services when the equip-
ment can be shut down.
3-13. ITEM NUMBER COLUMN.
The numbers found in the ITEM NUMBER column shall be used as a source of item numbers for
the TM NUMBER column on DA Form 2404, Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Worksheet,
in recording the results of PMCS.
