Check position of coupling caps. Remove coupling caps and attach hose(s). Refer to paragraph 3-16.

Check for clogged exhaust manifold. Remove clog. Refer to paragraph 3-16.
Step 3.
Check for improperly functioning safety valve. Replace safety valve if necessary.
