REMOVAL
4 DRAWER CABINET F
1.
Remove kick plate (Kick Plate, REMOVAL).
2.
Remove drawers, slides, and shelves as necessary (Drawers, Slides, And Shelves, REMOVAL).
3.
Remove hardware attaching cabinet (E) (Figure 5, Item 6) to shelter loor IAW WP 0041 00, Cabinet E, F and
G Hardware, REMOVAL.
4.
Remove four lag bolts (Figure 6, Item 1), four lock washers (Figure 6, Item 2, and four lat washers (Figure 6,
Item 3) detaching work surface (Figure 6, Item 4) from cabinet (F) (Figure 6, Item 5).
5.
Remove work surface (Figure 6, Item 4) from top of cabinet (F) (Figure 6, Item 5).
6.
Remove four bolts (Figure 6, Item 7), eight lat washers (Figure 6, Item 8), four lock washers (Figure 6, Item
2), and four nuts (Figure 6, Item 9) detaching two cabinet brackets (Figure 6, Item 6) from cabinet (F) (Figure
6, Item 5).
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT
4 DRAWER CABINET F
1.
If cabinet brackets (Figure 6, Item 6) can be repaired by welding, weld damaged area IAW TM 1-1500-204-23.
Repair must not interfere with form, it, or function of cabinet brackets (Figure 6, Item 6).
2.
Paint repaired cabinet brackets (Figure 6, Item 6) IAW WP 0063 00, Figure 6.
INSTALLATION
4 DRAWER CABINET F
1.
If a new work surface (Figure 6, Item 4) must be installed:
a.
Position work surface (Figure 6, Item 4), inished side up, on top of cabinet (F) (Figure 6, Item 5).
b.
Ensure work surface (Figure 6, Item 4) is lush with back side of cabinet (Figure 6, Item 5).
c.
On inside of cabinet (F) (Figure 6, Item 5), mark foru hole placements in top of cabinet (Figure 6, Item 5)
on non-inished side of work surface (Figure 6, Item 4).
d.
After four hole placement marks have been made, lip work surface (Figure 6, Item 4) over with non-
inished side up.
e.
On non-inished side of work surface (Figure 6, Item 4) at four marked hole placements, center punch
and drill four 5/16 inch holes to a depth of 3/4 inch.
f.
Return work surface (Figure 6, Item 4) inished side up, on top of cabinet (F) (Figure 6, Item 5).
g.
Align bolt holes in work surface (Figure 6, Item 4) with bolt holes on top of cabinet (F) (Figure 6, Item 5).
h.
Install four lag bolts (Figure 6, Item 1), four lock washers (Figure 6, Item 2), four lat washers (Figure 6,
Item 6), securing work surface (Figure 6, Item 4) to cabinet (F) (Figure 6, Item 5).
2.
If new cabinet (F) has been installed:
a.
Use holes (Figure 6, Item 10 through 17) of existing work surface (Figure 6, Item 4) to determine drill bit
sizes.
b.
Match drill holes of work surface (Figure 6, Item 10 through 17) of work surface (Figure 6, Item 4) through
cabinet (F) (Figure 6, Item 5).
3.
If a new work surface (Figure 6, Item 4) has been installed and/or a new work surface and cabinet (F) (Figure
6, Item 5) or has been installed
a.
Position back left corner of open throat press 3 inches from left side of work surface (Figure 6, Item 4)
and 25.00 inches from back of work surface (Figure 6, Item 4). Mark four placement holes (Figure 6,
Item 10, 11, 12 and 13). Set aside open throat press.
