INSTRUCTIONS FOR ROADSIDE RACK ASSEMBLY - (CONTINUED)
NOTE
Mark or number parts to ensure parts are installed in the same orientation and location they
were removed from.
1.
Remove thirty-six countersunk screws (Figure 4, Item 1) and thirty-six speed nuts (Figure 4, Item 10)
from support plate (Figure 4, Item 3).
2.
Remove support plate (Figure 4, Item 3) and one shim (Figure 4, Item 19).
3.
Remove twenty-four countersunk screws (Figure 4, Item 1), twenty-four speed nuts (Figure 4, Item 10),
and six large gussets (Figure 4, Item 9).
NOTE
Spring sheet nuts lock corner castings and aluminum rails together at every connection of
aluminum rail and corner castings. Ensure all spring sheet nuts are retained for use with
reassembly.
4.
To remove second shelf, loosen and remove bottoms of four corner castings (Figure 4, Item 5, 11, 13 and 16)
from four aluminum rails (Figure 4, Item 7, 8, 12 and 14) and set second shelf aside.
5.
Remove two aluminum rails (Figure 4, Item 2 and 17) from the top of two corner castings (Figure 4, Item
13 and 16).
6.
Loosen and separate two corner castings (Figure 4, Item 5 and 11) from aluminum rails (Figure 4, Item
4 and 15).
7.
Loosen and separate two corner castings (Figure 4, Item 5 and 11) from aluminum rail (Figure 4, Item 6).
8.
Loosen and separate two corner castings (Figure 4, Item 13 and 16) from aluminum rails (Figure 4, Item
4 and 15).
9.
Loosen and separate two corner castings (Figure 4, Item 13 and 16) from aluminum rail (Figure 4, Item 18).
