ASSEMBLY
WARNING
SECM roadside rack assembly weights 311 lbs. Disassemble and assemble rack assembly in
layers while inside of van to allow for safe lifting IAW MIL-STD-1472.
CAUTION
Do not use a drill for assembly.
NOTE
Spring sheet nuts are used to lock aluminum rails to corner castings. Always place one spring
sheet nut in groove of corner casting before inserting into aluminum rails during reassembly.
Use a rubber mallet to secure all connections.
If aluminum rails are replaced during reassembly, it is required to match drill new aluminum
rails using support plate(s), gusset(s), drawer slide mounting plate(s) and/or shims(s) before
installing support plate(s), gusset(s), drawer slide mounting plate(s), or shim(s) to the SECM
roadside rack assembly.
